Referee Camp

The Connecticut Referee Camp began in July 2000 through the collaboration of CJSA and the Connecticut Referee Development Program. The Referee Camp has been gaining more and more momentum throughout the years.

For 2012 one Referee camp will be offered. The camp is open to all Grade 8 Referees who are certified for the "current year" and have worked for at least one soccer season since becoming certified. Additionally, we welcome Grade 8 Referees who may be looking to upgrade within the next year to serve as experienced Referees during the camp. To be considered for camp, you MUST be present for the duration! This is a full-time, residential program focusing on high-level game control techniques, match management skills, and Referee team mechanics. There are classroom training sessions, as well as field training sessions, in addition to the game experiences. There will be mentors and mentors-in-training working closely with each of the campers throughout the week, in addition to instructors with tremendous experience to share with the campers.

The 2012 Referee Camp will be held in conjunction with the Girls' Region I ODP Camp at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI. and will start 12 noon on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 and end at 12 noon on Sunday, July 15, 2012.

For more information, contact Jessica Elaine Hyde-Cadogan at camp@ctreferee.net  Please note that a Recommendation is required to complete the camp registration for ALL Campers and Mentors. This Recommendation should be from someone who can attest to the participant's strengths and areas for improvement as a Referee so we can best assign them at the start of camp.
